PALILULA MUNICIPALITY HELPS TO THE CENTER “MARA” RECOSTRUTION OF SPACE

City municipality Palilula within the program of support to the educational institutions financed reconstruction of park surface in front of Center for day care for children, youth and adults mentally disabled in development “Mara”. Users of this institution from now would be able to their own leisure to spend relaxing on new benches in yard. “It is superfluous to say how much it is means to us this support of the Municipality, but I have to note that this is not first time for City Municipality of Palilula to help us, it means that we didn’t forgotten. For people who spend here the most of the day this is second home, so every help on regulation of space contribute to the better ambient and more organized and meaningful work with our users” – said Marina Milanov, director of Center “Mara”.
“From always we have good cooperation with Center “Mara” even tough that these institution it is not in the territory of Palilula Municipality. We consider that work of this institution is necessary to support and other city municipalities. Recently we toke users of “Mara” within program of hipotherapy in visit to Equestrian club “Nonius” and they were whole day their gests” – said Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly of Palilula Municipality. It was announced that Center will be soon from Municipality get and help in form of computer or other needed equipment. To this visit to the institution attended and president of Municipality Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, Vesna Jovanovic-Jankovic, secretary of Assembly and Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate.
Center for day care for children, youth and adults mentally disabled in development “Mara” organizing own work in different groups, according to the age, degree of autism and handicap and theirs individual groups. Currently with the program is covered 60 regular users. In teams who works with residents of the Center are doctors, sociologists, educators, pediatrics, psychologists, artists, musicians, recreations. In addition to the younger people with handicap with work of the Center are covered and persons older then 30 years. Stay in this Center brings fast and observable changes at the children disabled in development which is noticed not only from the experts of “Mara” nor and parents of this persons. Hence are importance and role which “Mara” realizing, rated representatives of management of Palilula Municipality, immeasurable and that’s why they deserve more attention both locally and wider community.
